Gustavo Treviño

Gustavo brings more than 20 years of progressive senior experience in finance, strategic planning and operations management. His last position was Vice President of Strategic Planning & Finance at Gruma Mexico. He evaluated the company's strategic position in order to take full advantage of market opportunities and make them generate growth and value for the company. Additionally he served as a member of the Gruma Mexico Committee, the highest authority in the company's management model where he implemented an organizational strategy for a transformational change. During his tenure at Gruma he also managed cross-functional teams to turnaround underperforming areas of the business by streamlining operations; these initiatives led to increased efficiencies and accelerated bottom-line profit growth. He has sharp financial analysis and operations skills to optimize company value, and maximize cash flow while minimizing risk. Gustavo designed multiple financial models to evaluate and execute strategic M&A and restructurings. He conducted due diligence sessions detailing business, financial and accounting considerations. He worked along with the senior team to ensure adequate cash flow to operate effectively and negotiated loan terms with banks. He has relevant transaction experience across food & beverage, retail and consumer goods business sectors.

He conducted Senior Management Executive Programs at Wharton Business School through the CFO program and at Harvard Business School in Business Strategy. Additionally, he studied at IPADE Business School and earned an MBA from ITESM Campus Monterrey and holds a BSc. in mechanical and industrial engineering also from ITESM Campus Monterrey.

Félix Cárdenas

Felix has over 20 years of managerial experience in private equity, business development, global sales, and corporate investment. He has operated in the USA, Europe, Japan, Africa and Latin America. His last executive position was as Managing Partner of GreenTEK Ventures a global private equity fund initiative headquartered in Switzerland under the mandate of the United Nations Environment Programme – Basel Agency for Sustainable Energy, where he established offices in Geneva, New York City, Mexico City, and Johannesburg. Previously at Norsk Hydro Statoil Felix showed strong skills to analyze commercial value propositions and execute multimillion long term contracts with large global companies like Eaton, Parker, Valeo, and Denso. He also served as part of the management team opening offices in Mexico for Oil & Energy opportunities. Earlier at Ford Motor Company he managed supply chain quality, planning & logistics. He has consulted and conducted research at firms such as Cisco, Nokia, Alcan, Logitech, General Electric, Cemex, FEMSA, Credit Suisse, Medtronic, and Nestle. Felix is a management professor at the Monterrey TEC, EGADE Business School and an affiliated research scientist & fellow at Harvard University in Cambridge and Columbia University in New York City. He has relevant experience across automotive, metal & plastic processing, home appliances, oil & energy, medical instruments, and aerospace industrial sectors.

He conducted post doctoral studies at Harvard and Columbia University having received his Ph.D. at HEC in Switzerland. He earned an MBA from EGADE Business School, an MSc. in International Business at NHH in Norway and studied industrial engineering at Sophia University in Tokyo and mechanical engineering at the University of Texas at Austin. He holds a BSc. in mechanical and industrial engineering from ITESM.
